What the program measures

Our summary translates published program concepts into monitoring requirements. The network’s current official rules, notices, regional requirements, and determination always control.

Fraud and dispute activity

Reported summaries combine Mastercard fraud reporting and non-fraud dispute activity against prior-period cleared transactions, with separate merchant and acquirer conditions.

Activity and amount gates

Reported merchant categories include cleared-transaction activity and combined dollar-amount conditions in addition to ratios. Acquirer categories use their own portfolio activity gates.

Duration and response

Consecutive months in a reported category may affect assessments and required remediation. Those bands must remain provisional until the controlling rules and customer applicability are confirmed.

quotasq can assemble customer-authorized processor, gateway, dispute, fraud, and network records into a transparent provisional view. The calculation keeps each assumed definition, effective date, source, and category condition visible instead of treating an industry summary as a final rule.

Once authorized source material is available, the modeled conditions can be versioned, reviewed, approved, and activated for the applicable customer scope. Monitoring then evaluates the current period, trend, data freshness, and distance to every required condition.

Mastercard states that its rules can change and that its official rules and standards control if published website documents differ. This GMAP summary must not be used for enforcement, reserves, termination, assessments, or legal conclusions until validated.

Data continuity

Fast awareness depends on available data.

Gateway, processor, and network data can arrive at different times and through different delivery methods. Network interruptions, transfer failures, incomplete files, delayed reporting, identifier changes, and other continuity issues are realities for every service provider.

quotasq validates expected delivery and freshness wherever the source permits. When we become aware of an issue that may affect monitoring, we work to notify impacted customers proactively, identify the affected source or period, and resume or remediate processing when the required data becomes available.

Alerts and dashboards should be understood in the context of their displayed source, reporting period, and last successful processing time.
